Creston’s Bailey earns Hawkeye 10 honors

The Hawkeye 10 all-conference girls basketball teams were finally announced after St. Albert won a Class 1A state championship 61-58 in double overtime over Newell-Fonda.

Panthers junior guard Kadley Bailey was the sole Creston girl to earn all-conference honors, being placed on the second team.

Bailey’s 398 points this season ranked fourth in the Hawkeye 10. The top three point-scorers were all unanimous first-team selections.

Bailey’s 102 steals led the conference, 15 more than than the next best.

Her 3-point percentage of 38.45% was second best and her 156 field goals were third-best.

She led the Panthers in many stats including field goals, 3-pointers, made free throws and points.
