After a 23-11 season where the Panthers won the Hawkeye 10 with a 17-3 record, the softball team placed eight girls on the all-conference teams.
First team
Nevaeh Randall was unanimously selected to first team, all conference. She led the Panthers with a .444 batting average. Her 21 home runs beat the previous single-season record of 10. She now holds the career and single-season records. She had a team-high 47 RBIs. At shortstop she had 65 assists and 53 put outs on 129 total chances.
Ava Adamson was selected as a first-team catcher where she had 157 put outs on 180 total chances. Adamson’s batting average was .400, she had four home runs and 24 RBIs. She led the team in base-stealing with 13 on 14 attempts.
Jersey Foote earned her spot as an outfielder, where she had 44 putouts and five assists on 53 chances. She finished second on the team for home runs and RBIs with six and 33, respectively.
Daile Keeler made her spot as a utility player. Keeler’s batting average of .422 places her second on the team. She hit four home runs this season and had 31 RBIs.
Second Team
Sophomore pitcher Taryn Fredrickson earned a position on the second team with an ERA of 2.66. She struck out 128 batters this season, allowing 106 hits.
Mila Kuhns made the team as an outfielder, where she had 74 put outs and 11 assists on 89 total chances this season. Kuhns had three home runs and eight doubles from the plate this season.
Honorable Mention
Senior pitcher Keely Coen earned honorable mention with an ERA of 2.75. She struck out 65 batters, allowing 129 hits.
Second baseman Sophie Hagle had 36 put outs and 39 assists on 75 total chances to earn honorable mention this season. On offense she stole seven bases and had 23 RBIs.
