Monday, the Iowa High School Athletic Association relased the 2023 soccer post season schedule.
Creston will play at 7 p.m. Monday at Clarke in the first round of Class 2A substate 7.
The winner will advance to face Chariton.
Clarke is 5-5 this season while the Panthers are 4-11.
Though the Indians participated in the Creston Tournament Saturday, the two teams never faced.
The Indians were defeated in the first round by West Central Valley. The Panthers went on to top West Central Valley 1-0 in the championship bout.
Clarke is led offensively by Oscar Castro who has 11 goals and 8 assists this season.
The Panthers’ McCoy Haines and Dillon Starlin each have 3 goals this season.
Creston sophomore goalie Josh Schaefer will be coming off a two game shut-out streak.
Also in the substate seven bracket is Panorama playing at Ballard Monday.
The winner of that matchup will travel to play Greene County.
The victor from the Greene County game will play the winner of the Chariton game in the substate seven championship match.
