Brandy D. Scheuermann, 47, of Murray, was taken into custody April 19, at her residence on the charges of eluding - speed over 25 mph over limit, interference with official acts, driving while suspended, reckless driving and operating a vehicle without an interlock.
According to Union County reports, at approximately 9:24 p.m. a traffic stop was initiated on a 2015 Jeep Cherokee at Yellowrose Avenue and 120th Street for a traffic violation. The Jeep did not stop.
The Jeep proceeded to a residence in the 1100 block of Shore Street in Murray, reaching speeds of 80 mph in a 50 mph zone. The driver, later identified as Scheuermann, exited the vehicle and ran inside the residence.
Deputies knocked on the door multiple times and announced themselves but no one answered the door. The PA system was used to order those inside the home, to exit, but Scheuermann and other occupants did not comply.
Scheuermann later admitted to hiding in the residence and to speeding up to elude law enforcement after seeing emergency lights and hearing sirens due to her license being suspended.
Scheuermann is required to have an interlock device installed on any vehicle operated by her. The Jeep did not have a device installed.
Scheuermann was transported to the Adams County Jail and held on $5,000 cash or surety bond.

Joshua L. Jones, 34, of Creston, was taken into custody April 20 at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on a Union County warrant for the charge of failure to appear on the original charge of harassment, third degree.
According to a Union County District Court document, Jones was ordered to appear Aug. 3, 2021, for a pre-trial conference on the original charge and did not appear.
Jones was transported to the Union County Jail and held on $300 cash-only bond.
