Creston Police: Odor of marijuana leads to meth charge for Creston woman

Lori L. Graham, 59, of Creston, was taken into custody 5:30 p.m. April 9, at 1000 E. Howard St., on the charge of possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, third or subsequent offense.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 4:41 p.m. Accura Healthcare of Creston reported the odor of marijuana and individuals using the drug in the back area of the nursing home. Officers spoke with the individuals, including Graham, who showed officers the contents of her purse. Inside the purse were a pipe and a crystalline substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Graham has prior drug possession convictions in 1994, 2002, 2011 and 2015, all in Union County.

Graham was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $5,000 cash or surety bond.
