No citations were issued Friday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 6:52 a.m., a 2005 Ford Focus, driven by Thomas M. Stalcup, 58, of Tingley, was westbound on West Taylor Street in the outside lane, when it was struck by a 2001 Dodge Dakota, driven by Devin K. Rains, 21, of Corning, who was southbound on Wyoming Avenue, turning right onto West Taylor Street at the time of impact.

Rains said he looked before turning but did not see any vehicles. Impact caused the Ford to spin sideways, jump the curb and slide in the grass before coming to rest in the grassy area near the McDonalds drive-thru.

Due to the amount of damage caused to the Ford and the distance it slid after impact, officers believe the Dodge did not come to a complete stop at the stop sign before it proceeded to turn, although no citations were issued.

Damage to the Ford was estimated at $1,000 and damage to the Dodge was estimated at $800.
