Accidents - March 5, 2025

No injuries were reported Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident in Union County.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s Office report, at approximately 5:26 p.m. a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Kelsie A. Hulett, 29, of Creston was eastbound on Highway 34 when it came to a stop to turn north onto 12 Mile Lake Road. At the same time, a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Sidney H. Staver, 17, of Afton, was also eastbound on the highway behind the Silverado.

When the Silverado stopped to turn, the Impala did not and struck the rear right side of the truck.

Damage to the Silverado was estimated at $3,000 and damage to the Impala was estimated at $6,000.
