Creston Police report - Feb. 24, 2025

Shane C. White, 39, of Creston was taken into custody 4:21 p.m. Feb. 20, at Mills and Jarvis streets on a Union County warrant for the charge of driving while barred and an additional driving while barred charge.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 10:32 a.m. Jan. 14, officers observed a 2001 Buick Park Avenue southbound in an alley in the 600 block between North Elm and North Oak streets. The Buick turned quickly and parked on West Irving Street. As officer’s drove by the Buick, they identified the driver as White, who is known to have a barred license.

Officers attempted to turn around and make contact with White but he exited the car and went inside of a residence on North Oak Street. Officers confirmed his license status to be barred.

At approximately 4:19 p.m. Feb. 20, officers observed White driving the same vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and White’s status was again confirmed to be barred.

White was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting 10% of $4,000 cash or surety bonds.
