A Creston teen was cited after a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 3:28 p.m. a 2018 Toyota Corolla, driven by Benjamin M. Rushing, 17, of Creston, was southbound on Wyoming Avenue, stopped at the stop sign at Highway 34. At the same time, a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Helen M. Waddell, 75, of Creston, was northbound on Wyoming Avenue, stopped at the stop sign on Highway 34.

The Jeep began to proceed across the highway and was hit head-on by the Corolla, who was attempting to turn east onto the highway.

Damage to the Corolla was estimated at $7,000 and damage to the Grand Cherokee was estimated at $4,000.

Rushing was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn.
