Shondell K. Greenhalgh, 41, of Creston, was taken into custody 5:48 p.m. Jan. 16, at her residence on the charge of violation of a no contact or protective order and a Polk County warrant for the charge of failure to appear on the original charge of contempt of court.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were conducting a followup to a report of unrelated criminal activity at the residence. While there, Greenhalgh was identified and it was discovered she had an active order against her. The protected party named in the order was also present at the residence.

According to Polk County District Court documents, Greenhalgh was ordered to appear Oct. 16, 2024, for a purge hearing on the original charge and did not appear.

Greenhalgh was transported to the Adams County Jail where she was released from for the Creston charge on her own recognizance on a promise to appear. Greenhalgh was then released to the custody of Polk County.

Jason C. Dames, 40, of Creston, was taken into custody 5:53 p.m. Jan. 16, at his residence on the charge of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, first offense.

According to a Creston Police report, officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of North Division Street to investigate a citizen complaint of criminal activity. While there, the strong odor of marijuana was detected from the garage where four individuals, including Dames, were present.

After getting consent, a search of the garage was conducted and a baggie containing marijuana as well as a container with marijuana in it were located. Dames later took ownership of both.

Dames was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from on his own recognizance on a promise to appear.

Raymond V. Young Jr., 41, of Creston, was taken into custody 7:22 p.m. Jan. 16, at his residence on the charge of domestic abuse assault, first offense.

According to a Creston Police report, a possible domestic disturbance was reported at a residence in the 700 block of North Elm Street between Young and a juvenile. Officers attempted to first speak with Young, who refused and told them to get the story from the juvenile.

The juvenile told officers Young was angry because the juvenile did a poor job cleaning the house. Young then took the juvenile’s computer and began walking toward him while he was standing in a doorway. Young then used the computer to push the juvenile out of his way and pin him against the wall. Two other juveniles were present during the incident and gave similar accounts.

Eventually Young did admit to officers he had pushed the juvenile out of his way.

Young was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from on his own recognizance on a promise to appear.

Antione W. Lillie, 18, of Creston, was taken into custody 9:34 p.m. Jan. 16, at his residence on a Union County warrant for the charge of violation of pretrial release.

According to an Iowa Department of Correctional Services report, on Aug. 8, 2024, Lillie was granted pretrial release after being charged in Union County with felony eluding and driving while barred - habitual offender. Lillie agreed to comply with any and all terms and conditions imposed by the Department of Correctional Services while under Level 3 supervision.

Lillie is alleged to have violated those conditions Jan. 10, when he was a no call/no show for his supervision appointment and on Jan. 11, when he was charged with driving while barred in Union County.

Lillie was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $7,000 cash or surety bond.
