Candy L. Jones, 43, of Creston, was taken into custody 5:07 p.m. Dec. 24, at her residence on the charge of assault.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 4:08 p.m. Jones and another female got into a verbal argument at Jones’ residence. The argument turned physical when Jones pushed the victim, knocking her to the ground.
Jones was cited and released on a summons to appear.

Christine L. Selvy, 50, of Creston, was taken into custody 8:58 p.m. Dec. 25, at her residence. Selvy was charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication and harassment, third degree.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 7:48 p.m. officers were called to the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1500 block of North Lincoln Street. They spoke with three witnesses, including a juvenile, who said Selvy had exposed her genitals to them in public. Selvy was also said to be arguing with them, being loud and made an obscene gesture, alarming the witnesses.
Selvy made statement consistent with witness accounts of the incident. Selvy had slurred speech and made statements about consuming alcoholic beverages. She consented to a PBT, which provided a result of .044%. An alcoholic beverage was in plain view in Selvy’s apartment.
Selvy was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $900 cash or surety bond.
