Tanya L. Funke, 45, of Stuart, was taken into custody 7:53 p.m. in the 1100 block of Kent Avenue in Casey, on an Adair County warrant for the charge of failure to appear on the original charge of violation of probation.
According to an Adair County District Court document, Funke was ordered to appear Nov. 8 for a revocation hearing on the original charge and did not appear.
Funke was transported to the Adair County Jail and held on $300 cash only bond.

Richard E. Larabee, 49, of Fontanelle, was taken into custody 8:50 p.m. Nov. 20, on an Adair County warrant for the charge of burglary, third degree.
According to an Adair County report, on Sept. 16, an employee of Nichols Farms reported a gasoline theft. The employee had camera footage from Sept. 4, of an extended cab Ford pickup with a sprayer in the back, pulling up to the farm’s fuel barrels and the driver going into the office building to retrieve a key to the barrels and putting fuel in the truck.
At approximately 2:50 a.m. Sept. 16, the employee, who resides at the residence on the farm, saw headlights coming toward the farm and observed the same Ford pickup pull into the driveway and to the fuel barrels. The employee went outside as the male, identified as Larabee, was walking out of the office with the key to the barrels and confronted him. Larabee told the employee that he used to work for someone who told him he could come and get fuel from the barrels. Larabee gave the key to the employee and left.
Written statements and camera footage of the Sept. 4 and Sept. 16 events, and a statement from the person in charge of the farm, saying that Larabee has never been employed by Nichols Farm or had permission to get fuel from there were obtained by law enforcement.
Larabee was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from after posting $5,000 cash or surety bond.

Nicole L. Glendenning, 49, of Des Moines, was taken into custody 7:37 p.m. Nov. 21, at the Polk County Jail on an Adair County warrant for the charge of violation of probation.
According to an Iowa Department of Correctional Services report, Jan. 18, Glendenning was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended with one year of probation after being convicted of OWI, second offense in Adair County. Glendenning violated the terms of her probation March 27, when she was charged by the Iowa State Patrol for driving while revoked.
Glendenning was transported to the Adair County Jail and held without bond until seen by the judge.

Jessie L. Jones, 38, of Shellrock, was taken into custody 8:49 p.m. Nov. 21, in the 600 block of South Division Street in Stuart on an Adair County warrant for the charges of theft, second degree; unauthorized use of a credit card and conspiracy to commit an aggravated misdemeanor.
According to Adair County reports, at approximately 8:16 p.m. Oct. 2, a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic was reported stolen from the parking lot at Hometown Foods in Stuart. The owner of the vehicle, an employee of the store, stated they had parked the Sonic on the north side of the store and left the keys in it. After their shift ended they found the Sonic was gone. Credit cards, personal items and medical documents belonging to the owner were also in the car.
The owner stated a credit card company had notified them of suspicious activity on her cards. It was discovered one of the cards had been used at the Casey’s in Stuart at 6 p.m. for a $60.21 and at 7:45 p.m. in Ankeny for $98.81.
Video footage was obtained from Casey’s in Stuart, which showed a male using the card to purchase a carton of cigarettes. It was discovered the stolen cards were used in Waverly. Waverly Police Department was able to positively identify the male. A female, identified as Jones, was also identified by police. According to Waverly Police, both were using the stolen cards at the Waverly Walmart.
The transactions made by Jones and the male totaled less than $1,500.
Jones was transported to the Adair County Jail and held on $10,000 cash only bond.

Kiley M. Hannan, 43, of Bridgewater, was taken into custody 4:07 p.m. Nov. 22 on North Main Street in Bridgewater, on an Adair County warrant for the charges of theft, second degree and burglary, third degree.
According to an Adair County report, on Oct. 28 a residential burglary in the 300 block of North Main Street in Bridgewater was reported. The residents of the home reported on Oct. 11, medication, jewelry and cash were taken from their home. Indoor security footage showed Hannan inside the residence going through things throughout the house including a jewelry box and putting items inside of her shirt to conceal them.
The residents said they had left early in the morning for a medical appointment and forgot to lock the door on the garage. Hannan, who had been helping them with outside chores, told them she was going to clean floors but was never given permission to do so or to be on the property.
Items missing from the residence include an antique ring valued at $1,000; a necklace valued at $800, $400 cash and pain medication.
Hannan was transported to the Adair County Jail and held on $10,000 cash only bond.

James D. Johnston, 58, of Des Moines, was taken into custody 8:49 p.m. Nov. 22, at the Polk County Jail on an Adair County warrant for the charge of violation of probation.
According to an Iowa Department of Correctional Services report, on Dec. 22, 2023, Johnston was sentenced to two years in prison, suspended with three years of probation after being convicted of two counts of possession of a controlled substance, second offense in Adair County.
Johnston violated the terms of his probation when he was charged Aug. 19 in Polk County with possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended.
As of Aug. 19, Johnston had not completed a court ordered substance abuse evaluation or any recommended treatment and continued to use and possess illegal substances.
Johnston was transported to the Adair County Jail and held without bond until seen by judge.

James E. Lee, 41, of Fontanelle, was taken into custody 11:20 p.m. Nov. 22, at Sprague and Division streets in Orient, on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, first offense.
According to an Adair County report, at 10:35 p.m. a traffic stop was conducted on a 2022 Toyota Corolla for a passenger side taillight being out. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Lee, and the odor of marijuana was detected coming from inside the vehicle. Lee denied anything being in the car.
Lee was asked to step out of the vehicle so a probable cause search could be conducted. Lee said he did not have to get out and requested a supervisor, to which he was told his request would not be met.
After a request for assistance was made, Lee decided to exit the car and admitted there was marijuana in in the front driver’s seat. During a search of the car, a large box containing various THC products, a substance appearing to be marijuana, what appeared to be psilocybin mushrooms and containers with THC wax residue were located.
Lee was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was cited and released on a promise to appear.
