No injuries were reported Friday when a deer was hit by two separate vehicles on Highway 25 in Union County.
According to a Union County report, at approximately 6:53 p.m. a 2020 Ford Explorer, driven by Mark D. Cooley, 31, of Mount Ayr, was southbound on Highway 25 when a deer came out of the west ditch onto the highway. The deer hit a northbound vehicle, causing the animal to go back into the southbound lane where the Explorer hit it.
Damage to the Explorer was estimated at $2,000.
