Tiffany M. Misel, 32, of Lorimor, was taken into custody 9:30 a.m. Nov. 18, at Osage and Howard streets on the charges of possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, first offense, driving while suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 9:20 a.m., a 2015 Hyundai Sonata was stopped by officers. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Misel, who was found to have a suspended license. A search of her person after being taken into custody resulted in a a small baggie being located in Misel’s pocket. The substance in the baggie later field tested positive for methamphetamine.

An open air sniff was conducted by Creston Police K9 Baxo, who gave a positive alert to the presence of narcotics odor. The Sonata was towed to the Union County Law Enforcement Center and a probable cause search was conducted. A plastic straw with methamphetamine residue was located.

Misel was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $1,600 cash or surety bond.
