Jason J. Masolini, 50, of Stuart, was taken into custody 1:20 a.m. Oct. 14, in the 400 block of SE 6th Street in Stuart on the charges of controlled substance violation - possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine (over 5 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a Stuart Police report, at approximately 11:32 p.m. Oct. 13, a search warrant was executed at 403 SE 6th Street Street.
When officers arrived, they made contact with Masolini at the front door of the residence. After clearing the property and providing Masolini with a copy of the warrant, officers searched and located a plastic baggie with 9.1 grams of methamphetamine and a pipe containing residue in the living room. Masolini immediately admitted to the items being his. Also found in the home were multiple empty baggies containing residue and a large glass jar containing residue from top to bottom, suggesting the jar was at some point full of methamphetamine.
Masolini was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from after posting $25,000 cash or surety bond.

Kristen N. Ladd, 40, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 2 p.m. Oct. 14, in Stuart on three Adair county warrants for failure to appear on the original charges of driving while license is revoked, criminal mischief, fourth degree and operating while under the influence, first offense.
According to Adair County District Court records, Ladd was to appear June 7, for hearings on the original charges and did not.
Ladd was transported to the Adair County Jail and held on $7,000 cash or surety bond.

Nicolas D. Allen, 62, of Des Moines, was taken into custody 7:23 p.m. Oct. 14, at the Polk County Jail on an Adair County warrant for the charge of violation of probation.
According to an Iowa Department of Correctional Services report, Allen was sentenced July 8, 2022, to two years in prison, suspended, with two years probation after being convicted of OWI, second offense. Allen violated the terms of his probation, which included completing an inpatient treatment program, on Jan. 18, when he left the treatment facility against advice of treatment counselors and his probation officer. Allen did not report leaving to his probation officer.
Allen was transported to the Adair County Jail and held on $2,000 cash or surety bond.

Jeffery D. Ott, 30, of Des Moines, was taken into custody 9:17 p.m. Oct. 14, on the charge of violation of no contact order - contempt.
According to a Greenfield Police report, beginning at approximately 7 p.m., Ott violated a no contact order three times by going to the residence where the protected party is staying. The protected party stated Ott had been in the residence where they are staying at 7 p.m, 8:30 p.m. and an unknown time, threatening the party.
Ott was located walking north in the 200 block of NW 2nd Street by officers. Ott made statements he had been inside of the residence where the protected party resides.
Ott was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from after posting $300 cash or surety bond.

Ronald J. Schaecher, 58, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 9:46 p.m. Oct. 1, at Casey’s General Store in Greenfield on the charge of violation of no contact order - contempt.
According to a Greenfield Police report, officers were made aware of a violation of a no contact order during an interview on a separate incident. The protected party named in the order against Schaecher also contacted Adair County dispatch and reported Schaecher had called them. A conversation between the two was overheard by someone at the protected party’s residence and Schaecher was observed by law enforcement driving past the residence twice very slowly.
Schaecher was found in a vehicle on the south side of Casey’s. When officers made contact, he denied having any contact with the protected party. He rolled up his windows, locked all of the doors and was uncooperative. Schaecher was given commands to unlock the doors and to get out of the vehicle which he ignored. At one point he reached for the gear shifter as if he was going to put the car in gear, so stop sticks were deployed to ensure he wouldn’t go far. After being given commands multiple times, Schaecher unlocked and exited the vehicle.
Schaecher was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from after posting $300 cash or surety bond.

Dante D. Ynoquio Chuquilin, 27, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, was taken into custody 9:18 p.m. Oct,. 15, in the 300 block of East Iowa Street in Greenfield on the charges of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, third or subsequent offense and keeping vehicle or premise for controlled substance violation.
According to an Iowa State Patrol report, a 2019 Chevrolet Impala was observed traveling over the posted speed limit near mile marker 76 of Interstate 80. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, identified as Ynoquio Chuquilin, and the odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle. Marijuana containers were observed on the passenger seat of the Impala and Ynoquio Chuquilin admitted to another container of marijuana being in the car.
A probable cause search was conducted and troopers located one additional container of marijuana.
Ynoquio Chuquilin was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from after posting $7,000 cash or surety bond.

Heather M. Santos, 36, Maximino Mendez-Jarquin, 31, and Daniel Pavian-Ramos, 47, all of Des Moines, were taken into custody 11 a.m. Oct. 16, on the Interstate 80 ramp in Stuart. The three were all charged with of failure to affix drug tax stamp and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute - methamphetamine. Mendez-Jarquin was additionally charged with persons ineligible to carry dangerous weapons and providing false identification information. Santos was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and persons ineligible to carry dangerous weapons.
According to a Stuart Police report, at approximately 1:43 a.m., officers observed a 2011 Kia Sorento traveling eastbound at 87 mph in a 75 mph zone. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, identified as Mendez-Jarquin, and two passengers. Mendez-Jarquin initially provided a false name. The front seat passenger, identified as Santos, told officers Mendez-Jarquin did not have a license and did not speak english.
An open bottle of alcohol was observed in front of the rear passenger, identified as Pavian-Ramos, and a second bottle was observed spilled on the passenger side rear floorboard. A probable cause search was conducted.
A .380 Rugar pistol was located beside the front passenger seat next to the center console where Santos was sitting. The serial number of the pistol had been filed off. Two folded $1 bills containing a crystalline substance were found in a wallet belonging to Pavian-Ramos. Multiple packages of a white crystalline substance, which later field tested postiive for methamphetamine, wrapped in plastic were located. The combined weight of these packages was 4.27 pounds.
With the assistance of the DEA, interviews were conducted on all three people. It was discovered Pavian-Ramos was initially the driver of the Sorento and had switched places with Mendez-Jarquin just prior to being stopped. Santos had evidence indicating she was involved in the sale of methamphetamine and both she and Mendez-Jarquin were prohibited from possessing or carrying the pistol due to being in possession of a controlled substance. Santos and Pavian-Ramos both made statements indicating Mendez-Jarquin had been in possession of the pistol prior to the stop.
DEA agents conducting the interviews stated all three individuals made statements suggesting they all knew about the illegal narcotics and the firearm in the vehicle and also worked with each other to transport and possession the items.
Prior to being transported, Santos was searched and a glass pipe containing burst residue was located. Due to the quantity of methamphetamine found, all three individuals were in violation of not possessing a tax stamp.
Santos, Mendez-Jarquin and Pavian-Ramos were transported to the Adair County Jail and held on $25,000 cash or surety bond. Mendez-Jarquin and Pavian-Ramos also have detainers placed for immigration warrants by the Department of Homeland Security.

Wilyer J. Velasquez Bermudez, 21, and Yonder E. Sanoja Mosqueda, 26, both of Chicago, Illinois, and Johan A. Ramirez Navas, 20, of Gary, Indiana, were taken into custody 12:09 p.m. Oct. 19, in the 100 block of 5th Street in Adair on the charge of assault - intend to cause pain or injury.
According to an Iowa State Patrol report, at approximately 9:06 a.m. an assault was reported at the Relax Inn. The male victim and female witness told law enforcement they were confronted by Bermudez, Mosqueda and Navas in front of their motel room about past payment, claiming they were owed money for past work done two months prior.
The victim and witness claimed Navas took the keys to a work truck, and attempted to take the truck. A second female stated the truck was given as collateral but the victim changed his mind and began assaulting Navas. A four-on-one fight broke out. THe second female claimed she was bitten by the victim and did have a visible bite mark. The victim, second female and Navas all had marks from the assault, and all claimed one caused the other harm. A knife was pulled during the assault but no one took ownership of it. A closed knife laying on the ground at the scene was recovered.
Bermudez, Mosqueda and Navas were transported to the Dallas County Jail where they were released from after each posting $300 cash or surety bond. The victim and second female were cited and released for assault.
