Creston Police report - Oct. 7, 2024

Timothy R. Hudek, 43, of Creston, was taken into custody 4:39 p.m. Oct. 4, at his residence on a Union County warrant for the charge of failure to appear on the original charge of violation of probation.

According to a Union County District Court document, Hudek was to appear Oct. 4, for a hearing on the original charge and did not.

Hudek was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $2,000 cash or surety bond.

Alex R. Cunningham, 34, of Creston, was taken into custody 6:09 p.m. Oct. 5, at his residence on a Union County warrant for the charge of harassment, first degree - fourth or subsequent offense.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 3:56 p.m. Sept. 28, an adult victim reported Cunningham had shown up at his residence and acted as if he wanted to fight. The victim had multiple letters and text messages from Cunningham as well.

The victim stated there had been a no contact order against Cunningham but it expired in 2023. Since then, the victim has asked Cunningham on multiple occasions to stay away from the victim’s residence and to stop contacting them but Cunningham has not listened.

Cunningham was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $2,000 cash or surety bond.

Aaron J. Cozad, 21, of Creston, was taken into custody 9:40 p.m. Oct. 5, on the charge of driving while revoked.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 9 p.m. a hit and run accident was reported at the Montgomery Street Pub. Officers were given the address of the registered owner, identified as Cozad, who had left the scene. When officers arrived at the residence, Cozad was still in the driver’s seat of his 2016 Chevrolet Silverado and the truck was still running.

Cozad’s information was ran and he was discovered to have a revoked license. He admitted he had been at the pub and had backed into another vehicle and left because he didn’t think there was any damage done. Cozad refused all field sobriety testing and a PBT produced a test of under the legal limit.

Cozad was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Lynn M. Singer, 26, of Afton, was taken into custody 1:24 a.m. Oct. 6, at Cherry and Mills streets on the charge of OWI, first offense.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 12:55 a.m. a 2009 Honda Accord was stopped for weaving within its lane and having a license plate lamp out. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Singer, and the odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from her person. Singer was asked to sit in a patrol unit while her information was ran and the odor continued to be present.

Singer said she had had one drink with dinner earlier in the evening. She consented to field sobriety testing and showed numerous clues of impairment. A PBT indicated her BrAC to be over .08%. Singer was transported to the law center where she consented to provide a breath specimen for chemical testing. The result showed Singer to have a BAC of .125%.

Singer was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Ronald D. Brammer, 62, of Creston, was taken into custody 3:10 a.m. Oct. 6, at Vine and Page streets on the charge of driving while suspended.

According to a Creston Police report, Brammer was observed driving a 2017 Ford Fusion and has a suspended license.

Brammer was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $300 cash or surety bond.

Fallon D. May, 39, of Creston, was taken into custody 12:01 p.m. Oct. 6, at her residence on the charge of domestic abuse assault - display or use weapon.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 11:14 a.m. May made threats to harm a family member at the residence while displaying a large kitchen knife.

May was transported to the Adams County Jail where she was released from after posting $2,000 cash or surety bond.

Annie M. Chapman, 54, of Creston, was taken into custody 11:13 p.m. Oct. 6, at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on the charge of OWI, first offense.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 9:10 p.m. a hit and run accident was reported in the 700 block of West Mills Street. The reporting party stated an SUV had struck a parked vehicle and left the scene. Officers located the SUV and driver, identified as Chapman.

Chapman admitted she had hit a parked car and left. She stated she drank five to six alcoholic beverages, with her last drink being approximately one hour prior to the accident. Chapman also told officers she should not have been driving. Chapman had bloodshot, watery eyes and the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person.

Chapman was transported to the law enforcement center for an OWI investigation. She consented to field sobriety testing initially but changed her mind during or before multiple tests. She consented to a PBT which indicated a BrAC of .168%. Chapman consented to provide a breath sample for chemical testing, the result indicated her BAC at .149%.

Chapman was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

At 6:33 a.m. Oct. 5, Eyleena M. Stringer, 32, of Creston, reported her residence in the 500 block of North Oak Street had been egged overnight.

Damage was estimated at $50.
