No injuries were reported Friday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 12:49 p.m. a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Megan E. Williamson, 44, of Creston, was southbound behind a 2013 Ram Truck, driven by John R. Wood, 65, of Creston, in the 400 block of North Poplar Street.

The Ram came to an abrupt stop after Wood saw his mailman, Wood then put the truck in reverse and backed into the Jeep. Wood said he looked but did not see the Jeep behind him,

Damage to the Jeep was estimated at $2,500 and damage to the Ram was estimated at $2,000.

No citations were issued Friday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 7:42 p.m., a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, driven by Sydney M. Hoffman, 17, of Shannon City, was backing up onto Division Street from Irving Street to turn around at the intersection. The Mercury backed into a 2016 Dodge Journey which was legally parked on Division Street.

The owner of the Dodge, Crystal W. Jacobe, 28, of Creston, was putting her children in the vehicle at the time of the accident and was hit by the door of the Dodge, causing injury to her hip. She was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health.

Damage to the Mercury was estimated at $500 and damage to the Dodge was estimated at $1,000.

No injuries were reported Saturday in two-vehicle accident in the Walmart parking lot.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 2:12 p.m. a 2008 Toyota Camry, driven by Elizabeth S. Edwards, 69, of Orient, struck a parked 2004 Buick Lesabre near the pharmacy entrance of Walmart.

The Buick had pulled off to the side of the lane and slightly into the fire lane to allow a passenger to get out. The Toyota had been parked in a handicap space near the entrance. Edwards backed the Toyota from the spot to get closer to the shopping cart she had left near the door of the store and did not see the Buick before colliding with it.

Damage to the Buick was estimated at $2,000 and damage to the Toyota was estimated at $1,500.
