One injured in two-vehicle crash in Creston; no injuries in separate crash

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash Saturday in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 4:47 p.m. a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by Terri L. Newton, 52, of Diagonal, was westbound on Devoe Street, crossing Sycamore Street, when it struck a 2009 Chevrolet Express van, driven by Tanner A. Klejch, 18, of Creston.

The Traverse did not come to a complete stop before proceeding through the intersection and hitting the northbound Express.

Damage to the Traverse was estimated at $4,000 and damage to the Express was estimated at $2,000.

One person received minor injuries Saturday as a result of a two-vehicle crash in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 4:59 p.m., a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by Tyler Werner, 16, of Creston, was eastbound on Prairie Street at the same time a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Katheryn Rogness, 22, of Lorimor, was northbound on Sumner Street.

Werner said he looked and did not see any vehicles and proceeded through the intersection, striking the Impala.

Rogness complained of possible minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health.

Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1,500 each. Possible citations are pending according to police.
