No citations after Creston teen hit parked car, trailer

No citations were issued Monday after a truck hit a parked vehicle and trailer in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 7:37 a.m. a 2001 Chevrolet SIlverado, driven by Teagen T. Miller, 17, of Creston, was northbound in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street when it struck a legally parked 2008 Dalton trailer. After hitting the trailer, the Silverado hit a legally parked 2020 Ford F150, pushing it forward approximately one vehicle length and slightly into yard.

The report lists contributing circumstances of the accidents as Miller operating the truck in a reckless, erratic, careless or negligent manner and vision obstruction. Miller told officers the windshield of the Silverado was fogged over.

Damage to the Silverado was estimated at $2,500, damage to the trailer was estimated at $2,000 and damage to the F150 was estimated at $4,000.
