Taylor D. Fleming, 29, of Creston, was taken into custody 7:23 p.m. Sept. 4, at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on a Union County warrant for the charge of OWI, first offense.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 7:48 p.m. Aug. 11, Fleming was the driver of a 2015 TAO involved in an accident at McKinley and Kirby streets. The TAO left the roadway, entered private property and struck a parked vehicle. When officers arrived, Fleming was readying to be transported by ambulance. Officers met with Fleming in the emergency room at the hospital. The odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from her person, she was emotional and had bloodshot, watery eyes. Fleming made statements about driving and consuming alcoholic beverages prior to the accident.

Officers requested and were granted a warrant for a blood draw on Fleming. The blood was sent to the state crime lab and results were received indicating Fleming had a BAC of .149%.

Fleming was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.
