Creston Police report - Aug. 23, 2024

Ashley D. Eblen, 26, of Creston, was taken into custody 10:40 p.m. Aug. 22, at Maple and Ringgold streets on the charges of public intoxication and interference with official acts.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 10:36 p.m. officers observed a female, later identified as Eblen, staggering while walking east on Ringgold Street. Contact was made with Eblen, who said she was walking to Walmart. She admitted to drinking a shooter while walking.

Eblen consented to a PBT, which indicated her BrAC to be .190%. When Eblen was being taken into custody, she resisted and attempted to walk away while ignoring commands from law enforcement. Officers had to physically restrain her and she continued to struggle even after being placed in handcuffs.

Eblen was transported to the Adams County Jail and held on $600 cash or surety bond.

Michael J. Schiel, 40, of Prescott, was taken into custody 8:30 p.m. Aug. 22, in the 500 block of West Taylor Street on the charge of driving while suspended.

No details were available.

Schiel was cited and released on a summons to appear.
