No injuries were reported Thursday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 6:22 p.m. a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Lucas D. Rushing, 19, of Creston, was eastbound on Townline Street when Rushing attempted to turn south on Vine Street.
Rushing failed to stay in his lane during the turn and hit a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Adan E. Vega, 60, of Creston, who was stopped at the stop sign northbound on Vine Street. Vega told officers the Equinox appeared to be traveling faster than it should have been.
Damage to the Equinox was estimated at $3,500 and damage to the Tahoe was estimated at $2,000.
