No injuries were reported after a Creston teen struck two parked cars in Afton.
According to a Union County report, at approximately 8:53 p.m. July 20, a 2009 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Zayley M. Martin, 16, of Creston, was eastbound on Filmore Street, just east of Grace Street, when the Sonota left the roadway and struck a legally parked 2022 Ford Expedition.
The Sonata continued eastbound before leaving the road again and striking a legally parked 2016 Toyota Avalon. Martin was located after leaving the scene of the accidents.
Deputies note contributing factors to the accidents were failure to maintain control and operating while intoxicated by Martin.
Damage to the Hyundai was estimated at $1,500, and damage to the Ford and Toyota were estimated at $5,000 each.
