No citations were issued Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 3:04 p.m. a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Zoey C. F. Vandevender, 17, of Prescott, was westbound on Montgomery Street, at a four-way-stop, attempting to turn south on Elm Street. After stopping at the intersection, Vandevender proceeded to turn left and struck a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Mary S. McDonald, 89, of Creston, who was southbound on Elm Street and did not stop at the stop sign.

Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1,500 each.

A moped driver was injured Wednesday morning as a result of a two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 7:38 a.m. a 2023 Zhng moped, driven by Allen W. Reed, 15, of Creston, was struck entering an intersection by a 2024 Nissan, driven by Oscar R. N. Alvarez, age unknown, of Nueva Alemania, Mexico.

The moped was northbound on Mulberry Street, leaving a stop sign and attempted to turn west on Townline Street, when it pulled out in front of the eastbound Nissan. Reed said he looked before pulling out but did not see the Nissan.

Reed was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health with unknown injuries.

Damage to the moped was estimated at $2,000 and damage to the Nissan was estimated at $1,000.
