Creston Police report - July 1, 2024

Jonathan M. Palmer, 25, of Creston, was taken into custody 7:39 p.m. June 28, in the 100 block of West Taylor Street on the charge of disorderly conduct-fighting/violent behavior.

No details were available on the charge.

Palmer was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $300 cash or surety bond.

Joe T. Jackson, 23, of Creston, was taken into custody 10:37 p.m. June 29, at Mills and Spruce streets on the charge of driving while suspended.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 10:27 p.m. Jackson was observed on Montgomery and Spruce streets operating a 2011 GMC Sierra pickup. Jackson was found to have a suspended license.

Jackson was cited and released at the scene on a summons to appear.

Arturo Marin, 40, of Afton, was taken into custody 9:33 p.m. June 30, at Abell and Ringgold streets on the charge of driving while revoked.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 9:32 p.m. officers observed a male, identified as Marin, operating a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Ringgold Street. Officers know Marin to have a revoked license from a prior OWI. When Marin saw the marked patrol car, he accelerated quickly, turned into a parking lot, exited the vehicle and attempted to walk away. Officers made contact with Marin and he was detained while his license status was confirmed to be revoked.

Marin was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond. Marin was also cited and released on the charge of driving while suspended.
