Olivia C. Henry, 20, of Ellston, was taken into custody 12:45 a.m. June 27, at Highway 34 and Mulberry Street on the charge of possession of alcohol by persons 18, 19 or 20 years old.

No details were available on the charge.

Henry was cited and released at the scene on a summons to appear

Curtis L. LaMasters, 40, of Creston, was taken into custody 8:15 p.m. June 26, at his residence on a Union County warrant for four counts of child endangerment.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 8:30 p.m. March 19, officers responded to an underage drinking party at LaMasters’ residence. Seven juveniles under the age of 18 were located in the home, none of which resided there or were related to LaMasters. All of the juveniles consented to taking a PBT, four of the seven produced a BrAC result over .000%, including a 13-year-old female who had a result of .226%.

Several of the juveniles said LaMasters provided them with the alcohol and he had bought two bottles of Hawkeye Vodka specifically for them.

LaMasters was the only adult at the residence and highly intoxicated. It took officers approximately three minutes to wake him up to speak with them due to his intoxicated state.

LaMasters was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting 10% of an $8,000 cash or surety bond.
