Patrick R. Iiams, 30, of Creston, was taken into custody 4:37 p.m. May 20, in the 100 block of West Taylor Street on two Union County warrants; the first charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of domestic abuse assault - injury or mental illness, first offense. The second warrant charges Iiams with violation of probation.

According to Union County District Court report, Iiams was scheduled to appear in court April 5, for arraignment on the original charge and did not appear. According to an Iowa Department of Correctional Services report, Iiams was sentenced to one year of probation July 21, in Union County for an OWI conviction. Iiams violated the terms of his probation March 20 when he was taken into custody for domestic assault in Union County.

Iiams was transported to the Union County Jail where he was held on $2,000 cash only bond for the first warrant and without bond on the second.

Brandon H. Whitfield, 37, of Creston, was taken into custody 5:29 p.m. March 20, at the intersection of Spruce and Prairie streets on the charge of driving while suspended.

According to a Creston Police report, Whitfield was observed driving a 1997 Jeep Cherokee while having a suspended driver’s license.

Whitfield was cited and released from the scene on a summons to appear.

Megan M. Brown, 43, of Lorimor, was taken into custody 6:52 p.m. March 20, in the 300 block of North Street on two Union County warrants. The first for the charges of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, first offense and possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, first offense. The second for the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to Union County reports, at approximately 9:43 p.m. Dec. 11, Brown was a occupant at a residence on Minnesota Avenue in Lorimor, where a wanted subject was believed to be. Brown was identified and while speaking to deputies, a strong odor of marijuana was detected coming from her person. Brown admitted she had a marijuana pipe with residue in her pocket and gave deputies the pipe. While emptying out her pockets, Brown dropped a small box and a small plastic baggie containing a white crystalline substance fell out. Brown admitted the substance was methamphetamine. Also recovered from Brown’s belongings were a broken methamphetamine pipe, a baggie containing marijuana residue and a silicone pipe,

Brown was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $2,300 cash or surety bond.

Jeffrey L. Bandow, 67, of Creston, was taken into custody 8:15 p.m. May 20, on two Union County warrants for the charges of failure to appear on the original charge of operating without interlock device and failure to appear on the original charges of OWI, third offense and driving while license denied or revoked.

According to Union County District Court documents, Bandow was to appear in court May 17 for sentencing and a pretrial hearing on the original charges and did not appear.

Bandow was transported to the Union County Jail and held on $5,300 cash only bond.
