Jeffery A. Liesener, 43, of Boone, was taken into custody March 21 at the Boone County Jail on a Union County warrant for the charge of violation of probation.
According to an Iowa Department of Correctional Services report, on Feb. 4, 2022, Liesener was convicted on the charge of child endangerment - no injury in Union County and received a deferred judgement with two years of probation. He violated the terms in August 2022 by having failed to have made any payments towards his court or supervision fees and not making himself available for probation supervision and failing to maintain contact.
On July 6, 2023, Liesener was arrested in Hardin County and charged with interference with official acts, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, fifth degree. He was again arrested in Hardin County on Aug. 4 on the charges of harassment, third degree and public intoxication. In an August 2023 probation report, he was considered to be absconded.
On Dec. 17, 2023, Liesener was arrested in Boone County and charged with disorderly conduct, on Jan. 4, he was convicted and fined on the charge. Liesener was taken into custody Feb. 23 in Boone County and charged with ongoing criminal conduct, theft fifth degree and four counts of unauthorized use of a credit card. He was convicted and sentenced on the charges March 11.
Liesener was transported to the Union County Jail and held on $2,000 cash only bond.
