Afton Police Department - March 22, 2024

Patrick R. Iiams, 29, of Creston, was taken into custody March 20 at the intersection of Webster and Filmore streets on the charge of domestic abuse assault - injury or mental illness, first offense.

According to an Afton Police report, at approximately 10:59 a.m. a domestic dispute was reported at the intersection of Filmore and Gregory streets. While enroute to the call, the Afton Chief observed the male suspect identified as Iiams. It was determined Iiams had assaulted a female victim by placing his hands around her neck, leaving red marks. The male and female had dated on and off within the last year.

Iiams was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.
