An Arispe man was injured Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident in Union County.

According to a Union County report, at approximately 11:25 a.m., a 2003 Ford Ranger, driven by Charles R. Davenport, 75, of Arispe, was westbound on Highway 34 when a 2020 International box truck, driven by Gage McCoy, 22, of Ames, who was southbound on Osage Street, attempted to turn east on to the highway and pulled in front of the Ranger. The Ranger was unable to avoid hitting the box truck.

McCoy was unable to see the Ranger due to semi traffic turning north from the westbound turn lane obstructing his view.

Davenport was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health for suspected minor injuries.

Damage to the Ranger was estimated at $5,000 and damage to the box truck was estimated at $1,500.
