David W. Crabb Jr, 40, of Lorimor, was taken into custody Aug. 25 in Lorimor on a Polk County warrant issued by the Iowa Department of Correctional Services charging him with violation of parole.

According to a Polk County report, Crabb, a parolee, violated the conditions of his parole on Feb. 14 when he tested positive for THC use, March 6 when he incurred new charges in Polk County for two counts of forgery and theft, second degree and on March 7 when he tested positive for methamphetamine. Crabb denied any use to his parole officer and requested his sample be sent to the lab for confirmation, the lab did confirm the presence of methamphetamine. Crabb has not made any payments to his court ordered financial obligations.

Crabb was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released to the custody of Polk County.

Natalie D. Eslinger, 25, of Indianola, was taken into custody Aug. 24 on Warbler Avenue in Thayer on the charges of harassment, third degree; interference with official acts and false report - 911 call.

According to a Union County report, at approximately 9:15 p.m. Eslinger harassed a female relative at the residence by intentionally attempting to intimidate her with with violent acts. Eslinger threw furniture and screamed in the victims face using vulgar language in an attempt to alarm and intimidate the victim to believe harm was possible.

While seated in the back of a patrol car, Eslinger called 911, knowing no emergency existed. Eslinger called 911 and was directed to Clarke County dispatch to report she was not getting water from officers. Eslinger had no reason to place the call and no no need existed to contact emergency services.

Eslinger resisted arrest by not placing her hands behind her back and physically attempting to pull away from officers while being given lawful orders. Eslinger’s refusal to comply required officers to go “hands-on” with her to place her into custody.

Eslinger was transported to the Adams County Jail where she was released from on a promise to appear.
