Autumn L. Vandry, 23, of Grand Prairie, Texas, was taken into custody Aug. 4 on a Union County warrant for the charge of violation of probation.

According to an Iowa Department of Correctional Services report, Vandry was granted a deferred judgement Nov. 6, 2020, including three years of probation after being convicted of willful injury causing bodily injury.

Because Vandry did not reside in Iowa, she was being supervised by the state of Nebraska. On May 17, Iowa Department of Correctional Services received a status report stating Vandry was no longer living at her last known address. Although Vandry had been in contact with the State of Nebraska, she failed to provide a valid address, missed probation appointments and was believed to have absconded.

A violation report was filed by Iowa Department of Correctional Services with a hearing scheduled June 10. On June 9 a warrant was issued for Vandry after the State of Nebraska officially listed her status as absconded and her whereabouts as unknown. The warrant was confirmed June 10 when Vandry failed to appear for the violation hearing in Union County District Court.

Vandry was transported to the Adams County Jail and held without bond until she appears in court.
