Kale J. Haffner, 19, of Corning, was taken into custody at 1:22 a.m. July 8 at 190th Street and Quince Avenue on the charges of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, first offense and OWI, first offense.

According to an Adams County report, deputies stopped a black vehicle traveling 30 mph in a 20 mph zone. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Haffner, and the odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from his person. Haffner also had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech.

Haffner consented to perform field sobriety testing which indicated clues of impairment. A PBT test result indicated a BrAC of .183%. During a pat down before being placed in a patrol unit, a marijuana wax pen was located in Haffner’s front left pocket.

Haffner consented to provide a breath sample for chemical testing. The result of the test indicated a BAC of .166%.

Haffner was transported the the Adams County Jail where he was released from after posting $100 cash bond.

Montana Smith, 27, of Bethany, Missouri, was taken into custody 9 p.m. July 8, at Highway 34 and Orange Avenue on the charges of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to an Adams County report, Smith was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for speeding. While speaking with the driver of the vehicle, deputies detected the odor of marijuana. A probable cause search was conducted, during which, deputies located a knit bag on the floor board of the passenger side containing 34 grams of marijuana. The ashtray of the vehicle contained 20 burnt roaches containing marijuana.

Smith admitted the knit bag and its contents were hers.

Smith was transported to the Adams County Jail where she was released from after posting $1,300 cash or surety bond.

Shane Magnuson, 47, of Carbon, was taken into custody 5:30 a.m. July 12 on 4th Street on the charge of driving while license suspended.

According to an Adams County report, Magnuson was observed driving a 2008 Polaris Outlaw on the street while his license was suspended.

Magnuson was cited and released at the scene on a summons to appear.

Brandon Sanders, 32, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody 7:15 p.m. July 22 on Davis Avenue for the charge of public intoxication.

According to an Adams County report, a man was reported to be sleeping on a table at the city park in Corning. Contact was made with the male, identified as Sanders, who had slurred speech and the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. Sanders admitted to drinking at a local establishment earlier in the evening. A PBT test indicated a BrAC of .130%

Sanders was transported to the Adams County Jail and held on $300 cash or surety bond.

Adam Bauman, 28, of Cumberland, was taken into custody 7:30 p.m. July 22 on the 800 block of Davis Avenue on the charge of driving while revoked.

According to an Adams County report, deputies observed Bauman pulling into the Corning Pub parking lot on a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Bauman has a revoked license.

Bauman was transported to the Adams County Jail where he was released from after posting $1,000 cash bond.

Bihn Duc Nguyen, 38, of Missouri, was taken into custody 10:35 p.m. July 22 on the charge of domestic abuse assault.

No details were available on the arrest.

Nguyen was transported to the Adams County Jail where he was held without bond.
