Kaylee M. Kingery, 22, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 6:30 p.m. May 5 in the 100 block of Manor Drive on the charge of driving while barred.

No further information was available.

Kingery was cited and released on a summons to appear at the scene.

William Bell, 31, of Creston, was taken into custody 11:20 p.m. May 5, in the 800 block of North Sumner Street on a warrant from New Mexico charging him with failure to appear on the original charges of robbery and attempt to commit a felony.

Bell was transported to the Union County Jail and held awaiting extradition to New Mexico.

Charles E. Miller, 40, of Creston, was taken into custody 10:45 p.m. May 6, at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on the charge of OWI, first offense.

According to a Creston Police report, officers stopped a 2010 Harley Davidson on Montgomery and Lincoln streets for traveling more than 20 mph over the posted speed limit in the downtown area and revving the motor of the motorcycle and accelerating at a high rate of speed, in a race-like behavior. Miller had bloodshot, watery eyes; slurred speech; impaired balance and the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath.

Miller consented to field sobriety testing and displayed multiple clues of impairment. He refused PBT testing,

Miller was transported to the Union County Law Enforcement Center where he consented to provide a breath specimen for chemical testing, the result of which, producing a BAC of .106%.

Miller was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Tania P. Hernandez, 28, of Creston, was taken into custody 7:15 p.m. May 7, at her residence on the charge of allowing an animal to run at large.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 4:30 p.m. officers received a report of a small dog running loose who had bitten a man outside at Mills and Walnut streets. When officers arrived in the area, they observed a loose dog outside of a residence in the 300 block of North Walnut Street. The reporting party told officers the dog had chased a man down the sidewalk and bit him in the back of the leg but no report had been made by a victim. Officers made contact to a juvenile female at the residence, who was the only person home at the time and had her take the dog inside.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. officers were notified by emergency room staff of a male juvenile who was receiving treatment for a dog bite. It was determined the victim was the male seen by witnesses earlier.

Officers made contact with the owner of the dog, identified as Hernandez, who was cited and released at her residence on a summons to appear.

At approximately 7 p.m. May 7 Juan Zamora Gutierrez of Creston reported his keys and wallet were taken while shopping at Bomgaars.

Loss was estimated at $51.
