Luis Garcia Reyes, 26, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 8:58 p.m. April 16 on the charge of OWI, first offense and open container. He was cited for the charge of illegal window tint.
According to an Adair County report, deputies assisted Greenfield Police Department with a traffic stop on a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche in the Los Altos parking lot in Greenfield. The truck had been reported via a 911 call as being all over the road as it entered Greenfield and the caller believed the driver to be intoxicated. While behind the truck, Greenfield officers observed it cross the center and fog lines multiple times.
Deputies made contact with the driver, identified as Reyes, and observed an open Michelob Ultra in the backseat of the vehicle. Additional open containers were observed in on the back passenger floor board. Reyes was asked to exit the vehicle and sit in the front seat of the patrol vehicle. As Reyes passed the deputy, a slight odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. Once seated in the patrol vehicle, the smell of an alcoholic beverage was more pronounced. Reyes admitted to consuming three or four beers while at work in Stuart.
Reyes consented to field sobriety testing which indicated clues of impairment. A PBT test indicated Reyes had a BAC of higher than .08%. Reyes was transported to the Adair County Jail where he consented to provide a breath sample for chemical testing. The result of the test indicated a BAC of .221%.
Reyes was released from the Adair County Jail after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Xachariah Hinson, 19, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 12:44 p.m. April 19 on the charges of criminal mischief, fourth degree and stalking, first offense.
According to an Adair County report, at approximately 6:30 a.m. April 15, officers responded to a Fontanelle apartment for a report of a window being broken. The reporting party advised her brother, identified as Hinson, had got into an argument with his girlfriend who lives at the apartment and left. Hinson returned to the apartment and began knocking on the windows and pushed the window air conditioner in. He then texted his girlfriend and told her he was going to break a window and right after the text was received the window where the air conditioner had been, shattered.
At approximately 2:15 a.m. April 19 Hinson reportedly broke another window at the apartment before taking off on foot before deputies arrived. While deputies attempted to locate Hinson, he ran back to the apartment and broke another window. He then ran to the residence of his girlfriend’s mother and ransacked the garage there. While deputies were at the second residence, Hinson again went back to the apartment and broke another window. Hinson continued to return to the apartment and break windows each time law enforcement left the area, breaking a total of seven or eight windows.
At approximately 10:15 a.m. a concerned citizen reported a male wearing a camo shirt carrying a board cross walking between her and a neighbor’s yard. At 11:07 a.m. another citizen reported an individual he believed to be Hinson, crawling through a window at the apartment he vandalized earlier. The caller stated the males head and upper torso were inside the residence but he did not see if he finished making entry into the apartment. at 11:37 a.m. Adair County received a call from the apartment stating Hinson was inside the apartment and was threatening his sister and girlfriend who were also inside. The caller stated Hinson’s girlfriend as barricaded in the bathroom recording the threats being made.
When deputies arrived at the apartment they searched the residence and located Hinson hiding behind a bedroom door.
Hinson was transported to the Adair County Jail and held on $6,000 cash only bond.

Trisha Johnston, 39, of Creston, was taken into custody 4:59 p.m. April 19 for the charge of driving while barred.
According to an Adair Police report, officers observed a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix traveling 75 mph in a 70 mph zone. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, identified as Johnston, who told officers she thought it was ok to drive 75 and she did not have a license. While speaking with Johnston, officers observed an empty Mike’s Hard Lemonade can on the passenger floor board and marijuana shake on the passenger seat and passenger floor board. A probably cause search was conducted but nothing further was located.
Johnston was transported to the Adair County Jail where she was cited and released on a summon’s to appear.

Xachariah Hinson, 19, of Greenfield, was served on an Adair County warrant 12:12 p.m. April 20 while incarcerated in the Adair County Jail for the charges of theft, first degree; eluding causing injury, OWI, drugs or participating in a felony; dominion or control of a firearm/offensive weapon by a felon and criminal mischief, third degree.
According to an Adair County District Court document, Hinson was on pretrial release for the charges and his release was revoked due to new charges in Adair County.
An additional $10,000 cash or surety bond was added to Hinson’s existing bond.

Jesse Finley, 41, of Essex, was taken into custody 7:32 p.m. April 20 on the charges of reckless driving and OWI, second offense.
According to an Adair Police report, at approximately 5:28 p.m. officers were notified by state broadcast of a Toyota Tundra traveling westbound on Interstate 80 at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles on the shoulder. Adair officers located the vehicle and observed it traveling 113 mph in a 70 mph zone. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but lost it before they were able to get behind it. The Tundra exited the interstate at exit 76. Officers located the vehicle turning on to 5th street from Hillcrest in Adair and initiated a traffic stop at 5th and flag streets. The vehicle swerved and stopped abruptly when the officer activated his lights and sirens. The driver, later identified as Finley, out his hands and keys out the window of the Tundra.
Finley stumbled where getting out of the Tundra after being ordered to exit. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from his person. Finley had slurred speech and bloodshot, watery eyes. Initially, Finley denied consuming any alcohol and told officers he had just broken up with his girlfriend and was having issues at work which is why he was driving so fast.
Finley consented to field sobriety testing, during which he stumbled before being caught by officers. Finley then stated he could not perform any further tests. Finley consented to PBT testing, the result of which indicated a BAC of over .08%. Finley then admitted to drinking a tall beer and stated he knew he shouldn’t be drinking and driving but it was a long drive so he thought he he would be ok to have a big beer.
Finley was transported to the Adair County Jail where he consented to provide a breath specimen for chemical testing which indicated a BAC of .128%.
Finley was released from the Adair County Jail after posting $2,300 cash or surety bond.

Brandon Corkrean, 46, of Orient, was taken into custody 11:19 p.m. April 21 and charged with OWI, second offense.
According to an Adair County report, at approximately 10:14 p.m deputies observed a Ford pickup cross the center line into the northbound lane of traffic as it traveled southbound on Highway 25 leaving Greenfield. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, identified as Corkrean, who had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. Corkrean consented to and failed field sobriety testing. He also consented to a PBT which indicated a BAC of over .08%.
Corkrean was transported to the Adair County Jail where he consented to provide a breath specimen for chemical testing, the result of which indicated a BAC of .275%.
Corkrean was released from the Adair County Jail after posting $2,000 cash or surety bond.
