Minor injuries were reported Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 5:19 p.m. a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Harry Metzger, 27, of Ottumwa, was westbound on Taylor Street and attempting to turn south on to Pine Street, when it hit a 2013 Ford Explorer, driven by Jeffery Conklin, 53, of Bridgewater, who was eastbound on Taylor Street. Metzger did not see Conklin’s vehicle as he crossed the lane.

A citation was issued to Metzger for failure to yield upon left turn. An adult female passenger in Conklin’s vehicle was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health with minor injuries.

Damages to the Malibu were estimated at $4,500 and estimated damages to the Explorer were $2,500. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
