Dalton T. Barber, 32, of Lorimor, was taken into custody 10:48 p.m. March 24, at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on a Union County warrant for the charge of failure to comply with pretrial release on the original charges of administer harmful substance; three counts indecent contact with a child; two counts sexual abuse, second degree; two counts lascivious acts with a child - solicitation; lascivious acts with a child - fondle/touch; child endangerment.

According to a Judicial District Department of Correctional Services report, Barber tested positive for and admitting using methamphetamine and marijuana while on pretrial release. Barber has not gained meaningful employment, an additional requirement of pretrial release.

Barber was transported to the Union County Jail and held without bond.

Cori L. Angell, 44, of Creston, was taken into custody 9 a.m. March 24 at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on an Adams County warrant for the charge of harassment, first degree.

According to an Adams County report, on April 4, 2022, Angell contacted the Chi Hospital in Corning to request a prescription refill over the phone. When staff refused to fill the prescription without seeing Angell first, she threatened the staff. On April 11, Angell sent a friend request on Facebook to the physician at the hospital who refused the refill request, which was not accepted. Angell then attempted to find the address of the physician’s residence in a Facebook post, after telling staff she would go to the physician’s home.

Angell was transferred to the custody of Adams County, where she was held on without bond until initial appearance.

Myles J. Koontz, 21, of Creston, was taken into custody 9:05 a.m. March 25 in the 900 block of North Oak Street on the charge of driving while barred.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 8:40 a.m. officers observed a 1995 Chevrolet K1500 pickup northbound on Division Street. The driver, identified as Koontz, turned on to Devoe Street, then Oak Street, after officers turned around to follow the truck. A traffic stop was initiated, during which Koontz was found to possess a barred license.

Koontz was cited and released from the scene on a summons to appear.

Megan E. Banda, 26, of Creston, was taken into custody 3:59 p.m. March 26 at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on the charge of domestic abuse assault - strangulation.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 12:30 a.m. a physical altercation took place at a residence on South Vine Street between Banda and the victim. The victim reported Banda had slapped, punched and choked her, and she had visible marks on her arms and scratches on her face. Banda admitted to the altercation and to slapping and shoving the victim.

Banda was transported to the Adams County Jail and held without bond until seen by the magistrate.
