No injuries were reported in a two vehicle accident Friday in Creston.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 11:59 am. Oct. 28, a 1997 Ford F250, driven by Shelbee Woosley, 18, of Orient, was northbound on Mulberry Street when her vehicle was struck at the unmarked intersection of Prairie Street, with a 2013 Ford Expedition, driven by Liliana Castro, 46, of Lenox, who was eastbound on Prairie Street and failed to yield.
Castro was cited for failure to provide proof of financial responsibility. Both vehicles had damage estimated at $5,000 each and required tow services from the scene.

No injuries were reported in a car versus deer accident Sunday in Creston.
According to a Creston Police report at approximately 7 a.m. Oct. 30, a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Robert Hepp, 63, of Cromwell, was eastbound on Highway 34 into Creston when a deer came from the north side of the highway, crossed the lanes of traffic and struck the Silverado on the driver’s side, causing extensive damage to the truck.
Estimated damage to the truck was listed at $5,000.

A driver in a two-vehicle accident Sunday was cited for driving while suspended.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 5:37 p.m. Oct. 30, a 2015 Chevrolet four-door passenger car, driven by John Berg, 31, of Creston, was northbound on Elm Street when it struck a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by Sidney Vasquez, 16, of Ames, at the intersection of Howard Street. Vasquez was eastbound on Howard Street and had been stopped at the intersection’s stop sign before proceeding through it. Berg was listed as having the right-of-way. Vasquez was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license.
Damage to Berg’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000, estimated damage to Vasquez’s vehicle was $1,500.
