No citations were issued after an accident at 8:05 a.m., April 20, at the intersection of Cottonwood Street and Townline Road in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, a 2015 Chevy Impala, driven by Dean Cooney, Corning, was traveling eastbound on Townline Road when it was struck by a 2015 Chevy Malibu, driven by Scott Coen, Creston, that was entering Townline Road from the south off of Cottonwood Street. The report stated Cooney had his turn signal on indicating to turn right into the parking lot of the hospital, just west of the intersection. Coen entered the intersection and struck the rear passenger side of the Malibu, after Cooney failed to turn as indicated.

Estimated damage of Cooney’s vehicle was $2,000.

Estimated damage of Coen’s vehicle was $3,000.

No citations were issued after an accident at 10:01 a.m. April 20, near the intersection of South Maple Street and Highway 34 in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, a 2011 Kia Sorento, driven by Cheyanne Parrott, Afton, was hit by a 2002 Buick Rendezvous, driven by Catherine Balius, Creston. Parrott was traveling northbound on Maple Street, intersection of Highway 34, when she attempted to cross the highway pulling out in front of Balius, who was traveling westbound on Highway 34, in the inside lane, not visable to Parrott due to a semi in the outside lane obstructing her view.

Both vehicles sustained estimated damage of $3,000 each.
