No citations were issued after an accident 7:57 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 25.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Ryan L. Shinn of Orient and Christopher G. Allen of Creston were traveling southbound in the 1200 block of Highway 25 when a deer ran in front of Shinn’s vehicle. Shinn rapidly slowed his 2011 Chevrolet to avoid hitting the deer. Allen driving a 2010 Dodge braked and skidded into the rear of Shinn.

Estimated damages are $1,200 to Shinn’s vehicle and $6,000 to Allen’s.

No citations were issued after an accident 2:13 p.m. Monday on North Prairie Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Roberta F. Osborne of Creston was backing up her 2006 Toyota when she struck a parked Jeep owned by Amanda K. Byers of Osceola.

Estimated damage is $800 to Byers’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 11:10 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of south Division and west Taylor streets.

According to a Creston Police Report, Jeremy L. Bullock of Mount Ayr was attempting a left-hand turn onto west taylor street. As he waited at the intersection in the north bound lane of south Division street, he saw a east bound UPS truck signaling to turn south on Division street, but failed to see a 2012 Ford, operated by Autumn L. Booth, driving east on the inside lane as the UPS truck obstructed his view. In his attempt to turn left, Bullock’s vehicle struck Booth’s.

Estimated damages are $400 to Bullocks vehicle and $1,500 to Booth’s.
