Dakota Michael Grund, 23, 2532 Avenue M, Council Bluffs, was charged 10:27 p.m. Aug. 28 with public intoxication on Park Road in Corning.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, deputies were dispatched to Lake Icaria for a domestic situation. Deputies coordinated with a park ranger who was already speaking with subjects. When deputies spoke to Grund, he smelled of alcohol and was visibly intoxicated. Nearby campers stated there was yelling nearby and a man wearing no shirt came over asking for a phone to borrow to call 911 because his son allegedly assaulted his girlfriend. There was a confrontation between Grund and another party, but no one wanted to press charges. A breathalyzer test revealed Grund had a BAC of .078%.

Grund was being held in the Adams County Jail on $300 bond.

Amanda Beth Brown, 42, 201 W. Mills St., Creston, was charged 10:50 p.m. Aug. 4 with simple assault on 1200 John St. in Corning.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, after the races concluded, Brown was yelling at a victim in an individual’s pit stall when that individual told her to leave. Brown spit in his face and punched him, and while it left no marks on his face, Brown’s fist was red.

Brown was being held in the Adams County Jail on no bond.

Donald G. Jones, 66, 222 Ave. E, Rock Falls, Illinois, was charged 8:21 a.m. Sept. 5 with public intoxication on 2923 120th St., in Prescott.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, a deputy responded to a single vehicle accident. Jones, who was on the scene smelled of alcohol and was visibly intoxicated. Jones admitted to being intoxicated but refused a breathalyzer test.

Jones was being held in the Adams County Jail on $300 bond.

Seamus Gunning, of Orlando, Florida, was charged Sept. 5 at the Corning Hotel for domestic abuse assault.

Gunning was transported to the Adams County Jail and held without bond.

Charles Michael Regan, 66, 4711 S. 102nd St., Omaha, Nebraska, was charged 1:34 a.m. with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at Lake Binder.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, a deputy did a welfare check on Regan’s vehicle which smelled of marijuana. The deputy discovered marijuana in the center console and a brown pipe with marijuana residue.

Regan was being held in the Adams County Jail on $1,300 bond.

Sheri Jo Watters, 42, 601 Main St., Gravity, was charged 7:47 p.m. Aug. 7 with public intoxication at 602 1/2 11th St., Corning.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, Watters was yelling and making a scene before getting in the deputy’s truck and asking for a ride to Creston. Instead, she was taken to the Adams County Sheriff’s office and provided a breathalyzer test that revealed a .097% BAC and a urine sample that tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana.

Watters was being held in the Adams County Jail on $300 bond.

Layne Douglas Ruby, 25, 3180 Henry A. Wallace Road, Creston, was charged 4:23 a.m. Sept. 12 with operating while intoxicated and possession of a firearm while intoxicated at the intersection of Highway 34 and Walnut Avenue near Lenox.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, deputies found Ruby unconscious in his vehicle that ended up in the ditch. The fire department and paramedics attended to Ruby as he smelled of alcohol and was visibly intoxicated. When searching for his phone, a deputy discovered Ruby’s .45 Caliber Smith and Wesson Shield handgun with a loaded magazine. Ruby exited the ambulance and provided a field sobriety and breathalyzer test. His BAC was .212%.

Ruby was being held in the Adams County Jail without bond.

Austin Michael Reed, of St. Joseph, Missouri, was charged Sept. 12 on a Missouri warrant for possession of child pornography at the intersection of 180th St. and Quince Avenue.

Reed was being held in the Adams County Jail awaiting extradition.
