LETTER: We would all be better off

Regarding Larry Peterson’ss article on last Wednesday’s editorial page, I could not agree more that the Democrat and Republican parties have both gone way overboard in their attempts of slamming each other.

If only both sides would calm down their rhetoric we would all be better off. How unfortunate that Mr. Peterson’s article was on the same page as a cartoon criticizing President Trump. Apparently Mr.Peterson wants the Republicans to tone down while the Democrats continue their attacks.
