Sharon Royster, 80, formerly of Creston, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at Good Samaritan Center in Forrest City. Celebration of Life Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 3, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25 in Creston. Services will be livestreamed by accessing a link under her obituary. Services will be officiated by Mary O’Riley. Open visitation, with family receiving friends, will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, March 2, at Powers Funeral Home.

Sharon Lee Royster was born May 4, 1944, to Arlo and Betty Kesterson in Shenandoah. She graduated from Prescott High School. After high school she moved to live with her brother and sister-in-law in Blytheville, Arkansas, where she met Paul Willard Royster. They married on Jan. 10, 1963. They resided in Creston, where they raised their daughter, Paula, and two sons, Jeff and Jamie.
She worked as a nanny and housekeeper and at Bunn-O-Matic for many years before moving to California and worked at K & K Office Furniture. She moved back to Creston in 1995 to be with family and grandkids, where she lived the remainder of her life.
Survivors include daughter, Paula (Brad) Laird of Wesley; two sons, Jeff (Jennifer) Royster of Creston and Jamie (Jolene) Royster of Adel; good friend, Laurie Morris of Colorado; a brother, Jim (Ann) Kesterson of Boone; sister, Robin Kesterson of Creston; seven grandchildren: Ashley Royster, Tanner Royster (Nick), Zachary Royster (Sabrina), Taylor Royster (Kelsie), Jacob Royster (Tabitha), Kylie Belling (Doug) and Brooklyn Laird (Jordan); nine great-grandchildren: Lily, Ava, Trenton, Evelyn, Mia, Colson, Leighton, Tucker and Oliver.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Arlo and Betty Kesterson; her husband, Paul, and brothers, Bob, Danny and Gerry.
