Dean L. Hultquist

Dean L. Hultquist, 74, of Corning, formerly of Creston, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at Corning Specialty Care in Corning. No services will be held. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Creston.

Dean L. Hultquist was born Nov. 1, 1950, to Vincent Carl Hultquist and Laverne Josephine (Swanson) Hultquist in Red Oak. Dean and his family moved to Creston when he was young where Dean attended Creston school, graduating from Creston High School with the class of 1968.

Dean was united in marriage to Gail Lewis and one son was born to this union. They later divorced. Dean worked for the highway commission for many years as a mechanic. Dean spent many days working on cars and was known for being able to fix any automobile, even with his eyes closed.

Dean is survived by his son, Cody Hultquist of Springfield, Missouri; the wonderful staff at Corning Specialty Care who became his family and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Laverne Hultquist and his loving sister, Linda Hultquist in 2023.
