Amanda Jo Hostler, 42, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Creston, died Nov. 30, 2023, in Omaha.

Amanda Jo Hostler, 42, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Creston, traveled on to her heavenly home Nov. 3, 2023, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23 at the Dodge Riverside Golf and Event Center in Council Bluffs. Visitation, with family present, will be prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Amanda Jo Hostler came bounding into this world April 30, 1981, to join her parents, Diane and Steve Hoskinson, and her older sister, Christina. Graduating from Creston High School in 1999, she later attended Bellevue University, earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2009 and a master’s degree in organizational performance management in 2011.

In January 2012, Amanda met her soulmate Andrew Hostler. They were married May 20, 2015, at Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Amanda and Andrew were greatly blessed with two children, Laurel and Johnathan. Amanda was a very devoted wife and mother, and she was her family’s world and they were hers as well.

Amanda was most recently employed as a product owner with Omaha Public Power District (OPPD). She became a world traveler through previous roles and employment, with her first trip to India being part of a six-person international team. She also traveled to the Philippines, various locations in the United States and spent a month working in Sydney, Australia.

Amanda is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Andrew; children, Laurel and Johnathan; parents, Diane and Steve Hoskinson of Creston; sister, Christina (James) Rigdon; her father-in-law, Harry Hostler; nephews: Tyler, Gavin and Caleb Rigdon as well as many other relatives and friends.

Amanda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Laurel Exley; her paternal grandparents, Joan and Allen J. Hoskinson Jr. and her mother-in-law, Barbara Hostler.

Amanda had a loving and giving spirit. She gave all of herself, sharing her light and love to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
