Victoria Page Carson was born Dec. 25, 1944, in San Diego, California, the daughter of Edward and Edna Bernice (Page) Reynolds. Vicki graduated from Diagonal Community High School May 24, 1962. On Oct. 7, 1962, Vicki was united in marriage to Arthur Garrett in Diagonal.
They made their home in Diagonal and Vicki worked for K-Mart in Creston and later in Des Moines for 25 years. Vicki loved her job at K-Mart, where she ran the electronics department and then moved on to the office manager position. Vicki made many friends at K-Mart, and to this day she still was in contact with many of them. Vicki and Art later divorced. Vicki transferred to K-Mart in Des Moines in 1983, where she held the position as office manager until the closing of the K-Marts stores.
On May 28, 1988, Vicki was united in marriage to Jerry Carson at the Little Brown Chapel in Arkansas. Vicki took a new job as office coordinator for Jacobson Transportation working in the position 20 plus years until the company was sold. As she put it, she didn’t ever retire the company did!
Following her time with Jacobson Transportation she volunteered at the Urbandale Library as she eased into retirement in 2014. Vicki and Jerry made their home in Windsor Heights until her passing.
