Dennis “Denny” Green, 51, of Creston, died Sunday, July 16, 2023, at his home in Creston. A memorial celebration of life gathering and visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at the McKinley Park shelter house #4 near the bear in Creston. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be given at www.powersfh.com.
Dennis Barry Green Jr. was born Oct. 3, 1971, son of Dennis Barry Green Sr. and Judith Ann (Pilington) Green in Des Moines. He was educated in Des Moines schools, later earning his G.E.D.
On Aug. 28, 1992, Denny was united in marriage to Christina Renee Young at the Rose Garden in Des Moines. To this union a son, Matthew, was born. They later divorced. While living in Des Moines he worked at Standard Oil, a movie theater and a car wash.
On Aug. 19, 2000, Denny was united in marriage to Debra Belew in Des Moines. They settled in Creston, where Denny worked as a mechanic for Hi-Crest Auto, Charlie Brown’s and Carlisle Automotives. They later divorced.
On Feb. 5, 2008, Denny married Amanda Teague in Creston. They made their home in Creston.
Survivors include his wife Amanda; children: Matthew (Tausha Miller) Ailes of Oronogo, Missouri, Zachary Green of Marshalltown and Haley Ann Rose Green of Creston; his father and stepmother, Dennis and Helen Green and mother, Judith Heinz; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two stepbrothers, Brian (Donna) Worthington of Las Vegas, Nevada and Chad Worthington of West Des Moines; three half-siblings: Eric Green of Ankeny, Angela (Shaun) Jones of Altoona and Heather (Dustin) Saner of Truro; and numerous extended family.
