Robert Blanchard

Bob C. Blanchard, 68, of Creston, died Monday, June 12, 2023, at his home in Creston. Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2023, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Family will be receiving friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., prior to service time. Father Patrick Amedeka will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, south of Creston.

Robert Charles Blanchard was born March 31, 1955, to Alfred Blanchard and Lucille (Johnson) Blanchard in Creston. Bob attended Creston schools.

Bob lived most of his life in Creston. He was employed at the Afton Co-op for 13 years, as well as working for Truro Elevators for eight years. His livelihood was driving trucks, hauling scrap and fixing his hot rod cars.

In 1994, Robert partnered with Carol Roberts, and they have had 29 years together. His family and friends meant the most to him. He spent a lot of time telling stories of his past, visiting his friends and family and spending time with his partner Carol.

Bob is survived by his significant other, Carol Roberts of Creston; two sons, Chad and Chris Blanchard; two step-daughters: Aleacha (Randy) Crocker and Lois (William) Buchanan; along with Gabriel Blanchard; his step-grandchildren and numerous family members.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lucille Blanchard and his sister, Connie Viether in 2022.
