Floyd Hall

Floyd Dale Hall was born May 8, 1943, the son of Jesse E. and Mary Ellen (Keating) Hall in Union County. He passed away on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, at the age of 79.

Floyd attended country school in Union County and graduated from Creston High School. After high school he served his country in the United States Army. He worked at Van Mark in Creston and then with his brothers and nephews at Hall Brothers Construction. They built log cabin homes all over the United States.

Floyd loved to hunt, trap and fish. He enjoyed going to rendezvous with Kathy and they sold their trade goods. One of his favorite things he owned was his beech bark canoe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charlie, Jesse and John Hall and sister, Annie Bryant.

He is survived by his brother, Earl Hall and wife Kathy of Creston; significant other, Kathleen Grinstead of Creston; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, at the Jerusalem United Methodist Church, 1103 Joshua Avenue, Creston. Rev. Jim Morris will say a few words. The Pearson Family Funeral Service and Cremation Center in Creston is assisting the family with arrangements.
