LaRee Berry, 93, of Creston, died Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Greater Regional Health in Creston. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., June 24, at the Orient United Methodist Church. Pastor Samuel Ansong will officiate. Open visitation with family receiving friends will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at the Orient United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be in Greenfield Cemetery in Greenfield.

LaRee Nellie (Conard) Berry was born June 25, 1929, the daughter of Fred Roy and Veda Ruth (Clark) Conard in Adair County She graduated from Zion High School in 1947.

On March 28, 1948, LaRee was united in marriage to Donald Berry in the Hill of Zion Church in Zion. They settled and farmed in Union Township in Adair County. LaRee and Don lived and farmed numerous farms in the Adair County area. In 1961, LaRee began working for Zion School as a cook and later for Orient-Macksburg schools as a cook. She moved to Creston in 1994, and retired from the school in 1995.

She was a former member of the Hill of Zion Church.

LaRee is survived by three daughters: Janice (Allan) James of Aubrey, Texas, Shirley Smith of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Denise (Steve) Klein of Trophy Club, Texas; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Marilyn Boyle of Missouri, Mary Giles of Iowa and Luene Westrum of Colorado; a special cousin Jean Johnston Miller of Creston; special friends, Nancy Hofmeister and Sandy Shimono and many other extended family members.

LaRee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; two sons, Arnie and Doyle Berry and 11 brothers and sisters.
